Our mission at Top Notch
Dog Training is to provide you with a positive training
experience and atmosphere. Our training coaches combine a
love of dogs with scientific knowledge, extensive training
and certification, and years of experience. We provide
education to the individuals on both ends of the leash, and
teach clients how to communicate their leadership and
discourage inappropriate behavior using positive
reward-based training techniques, rather than domination.
Our training services are
offered weekdays and weekends to best accommodate your
schedule. We offer a wide range of training services:

We teach obedience,
house manners, tricks, and CGC training and testing
Our training coaches are members of
APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), and many of them are
CPDTs (Certified Professional Dog Trainers) and KPA-CTPs
(Karen Prior Academy Certified Training Partners).

Great
Beginnings Puppy:
The quality of a puppy's life and its success
in the world depends on two crucial elements: that of proper
immunization against disease for physical health, and that
of early and proper socialization to ensure a sound
temperament. This class will provide a safe environment,
allowing you to socialize your puppy amongst new people,
other puppies, and a host of different objects, sounds and
situations. Learn how to positively introduce basic cues
(sit, down, come, etc.), and how to address common puppy
behaviors (mouthing, housetraining, chewing, etc.) without
harsh punishment.
Good Manners:
Our certified, professional trainers will guide you through
the process of developing good manners with you dog.

Difficult Dog:
This class is for dogs with special challenges (explosive
barking, reactive/aggressive towards other dogs and/or
people, etc.) and will provide a safe and constructive
environment to work on issues specific to your dog's
behavior. Taught exclusively by certified trainer and
behavior counselor Lisa Moore, CPDT.

Jump start training for your dog during a boarding
stay!
Now you can combine your dog's boarding stay with accelerated
learning! We now offer in-house training, so that your do
can learn better manners, obedience and tricks while you are
away! All training techniques are gentle, positive and
effective. The program is headed by Certified Professional
Dog Trainers, CPDT, and veteran trainer Vonnie, plus our caring,
knowledgeable kennel staff/trainers. Ready, Set, Learn
program
while boarding your dog includes an 'exit visit' when your dog is
picked up, to go over results and continued at-home
management. Let your dog stay, play and learn here at Top

Private Lessons and Behavior
Counseling
Ideal for parents with class schedule conflicts, or
simply for the convenience of training at home. Private
Lessons and Consultations are offered Monday through
Thursday. Private Lessons are done at your location or a
local park, and behavioral consultations are done in your
home or our office. General training, problem solving and
specific home cues are covered with certified, knowledgeable
instructors implementing gentle techniques.
